Things to do - Ria Noia y Muros
Ria Muros y Noia estuary forms the frontier of the temperate Rias Baixas (low rivers region) and the wild, scenic, turbulent Costa da Morte (Death Coast). A wide area with lots of different things to do! Noia is 35 kms from Santiago de Compostela. Muros is situated at the mouth of the Ria.

Walking distance from your rental accommodation
An easy walk - 3kms from the property through the woods, along the banks of the estuary will bring you to the maritime parade of O'Freixo. We recommend 'La Muelle' or 'Bar Rios' for a stunning choice of fresh, locally caught shellfish and traditional Galician 'tapas'
La Brona Beach - a 10 minute/ 2kms walk from the property. We recommend Verina do Mar for generous 'tapas', great snacks for kids and Galician seafood or Chiringo's Bar for young adults.
Short driving distance from your rental accommodation
In the direction of Noia, a 5 minute/ 4kms drive away in Crucero de Roo we recommend the 'Menu del Dia' Set Menu in Casa Peto.
A 10 minute/8kms drive away in Serra de Outes we recommend Casa Amanda for their Galician 'stone steak' and freshly caught fish or Arrozal for their excellent 'seafood rice'.

Beaches - Ria Muros y Noia
The Ria Muros y Noia coastline is littered with beautiful beaches. The local beach at La Brona is a 2kms 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from your rental accommodation; a true paradise for everyone. Rarely busy until late afternoon visitors can enjoy picnicking on the grass in the shade of the pines or lying in the sun on the white, sparkling sands. La Brona beach offers safe swimming for all ages, pedalo hire, life guards, a children's play area on the grass and free parking.
Travelling along the Ria to Muros, the most popular are Praia Paramean Esteiro and Praia de San Francisco. From Muros moving along the Atlantic Ocean coast to Finisterre (World's End) visitors can lose themselves in wild dunes, virgin beaches, huge surf and vast areas of protected natural beauty. Shopping - A Coruna, Galicia
Santiago de Compostela and A Coruna for excellent 'city' shopping in Area Central or Compostela commercial centres. The winding streets within the city walls between Praza das Praterias and Praza de Cervantes by the cathedral contain many speciality shops.
Noia and Muros for smaller, specialist boutique shops.
The Noia and Padron local markets are a bargain hunters paradise! Held in Noia on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday and in Padron on Sunday.
Historical Attractions in A Coruna, Galicia
Santiago de Compostela cathedral and medieval city centre
Once famously described by the Spanish author Ramon del Valle Inclan as 'a mystical stone rose' due to its winding streets, ancient monuments, museums and old buildings that surround the highly impressive 11th century cathedral and its squares. A good area to explore on foot, stopping to browse in the boutiques or enjoy Galician 'tapas' in the cheap taverns in Rua do Franco and Rua do Vilar that welcome visitors year round!
Noia historical centre and church
Affectionately known as 'Little Compostela' this pretty town on the banks of the river Sonora has a rich history dating back to the Prehistoric Age. Today it plays host to some of the best 'fiestas' (street parties) on the annual calender in the A Coruna region
In the A Coruna countryside near Serra da Outes you can visit the Petroglifos de Fontemoreira. Near Noia visit the PonteNafonso roman bridge, the watermills of Muino de Brandia & Miron and the papermill of Papalera de Fontan in Lousame. Near Porto do Son visit the Dolmen de Argalo,Petroglifos dos Pozos da Garda and the Castro de Barona settlement
